US: PRINCE ANDREW AND BOB DYLAN ALLEGED FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE

Must read

There has been a number of cases charged against Catholic clergyman for child sexual abuse. New york’s child victim act (CAV) had brought a new change in state law in which they have suspended the statute of limitations on child abuse cases for two years. This has opened the way for victims to bring civil suits which they were not able to pursue previously. This law was passed in 2019 which allowed victims to come forward and claim their exploitation till the given deadline of 14 August 2021, by this deadline more than 9200 cases were reported.
It was shocking after viewing the names of high profiles in the list. Among the defenders are singer Bob Dylan and senior British royal Prince Andrew.

The chief executive of Child USA, Marci Hamilton said that one of the five girls and one of the 13 boys in the US have been sexually abused. Most of the victim shares their experience later in life mostly across the age of 52 or more in the US. While the rest don’t even disclose it.

In North Dakota and Oregon deadline for criminal suits is before the victim turns 40. Mr. Andriola sees CAV as a modest step as there shouldn’t be a statute of limitations for these cases. On the other side, Ms. Markey spoke that one of her son had been sexually abused as a child that too by a priest whom she thought would give him a fatherly environment in the family’s Catholic Church. These act have made victims of child abuse to suffer from depression, PTSD, etc for which MS Hamilton of child USA has put the average cost of $830,000 for a lifetime.

ARE MY KIDS REALLY SAFE?

Now parents are afraid for their kid’s security in their own Nation. The first thing that comes under their mind is their kids being hurt. Advocates like Mr. Andriola are working for Adult Survivors Act. This would create a one-year extension for adult victims of sexual abuse to file a proper claim. This was passed collectively in the New York senate in June.
