Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, arrived at Washington DC for his three-day visit. He landed at Joint Base Andrews, a US military facility in nearby Maryland. Throughout his official visit to the US ,he will hold first face-to-face meeting with President Joe Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris ,attend the maiden in-person Quad summit and address the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in the New York.
He was received at the airport by senior officials of the Biden administration and India’s ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
Earlier on Wednesday, he addressed the global COVID-19 summit hosted by president Joe Biden.
Modi, who is visiting the US for the 7th time after assuming office in 2014, aforementioned that his visit would be an occasion to strengthen the Indo-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and consolidate ties with Japan and Australia.
PM Modi will be holding meeting with Australian counterpart Scott Morrison, US Vice President Kamala harris and selected heads of corporates that have potential to invest notably in India .
Along with Morrison , he will also hold bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Suga and take stock of the strong bilateral relations.
PM Modi presumed that he will conclude his visit with an address at the 76th session UN General Assembly on Saturday, focusing on COVID 19 pandemic and other important issues.
