In Japan, after receiving the Moderna vaccine another man died just after being injected from one of the three batches of Moderna vaccines. The forty-nine-year-old man had his second dose on 11th August and died the following day. The only health issue he had was an allergy to buckwheat proved by the Health ministry. Although the authorities have denied the claim. Those shots were from the same batch that was found fragmented. These three batches were manufactured in Spain under contract by maderna. Whereas the local distributor Takeda Pharmaceutical said that “The rare presence of stainless steel particles in the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine does not pose any undue risk to patient safety and it does not adversely affect the benefit/risk profile of the product.” Past month two men of 30s died after getting their second dose of moderna vaccine.
WHAT WAS THE ERROR?
According to the research, contaminants are found to be pieces of rubber fragments from vial Stoppers. This was due to the incorrect insertion of the needle. These were found in Okinawa, Gunma, and Kanagawa in late August and early September. On the other hand, no problems were reported among those injected with the contaminated vaccines which came from different batches.
These faulty batches have more than 500,000 people injected with vaccines according to the minister in charge of the vaccine program, Taro Kono. Usually, most of the vaccines that are used in Japan are made by Pfizer and at least 12.2m doses of Moderna have been administered.
