India on Saturday recorded the highest single-day rise in the last 2 months in the number of daily Coronavirus infections. In India, the state which has contributed most to India’s Covid tally is Kerala and has remained the pain point by reporting 32,801 cases on Saturday. As the cases have been raised in Kerala the government has reimposed a night curfew from 10 pm to 6 am which will be starting from Monday with Sunday as full lockdown. According to the Union Health Ministry data, India has reported 45,083 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours.
While on the other hand the national Covid-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.53 percent. Looking into this the authorities have enforced new covid guidelines in the urban wards or the panchayats with critical spread where weekly infection population ratio is above 7. The festive season is ahead so the ministry has cautioned states and all UT about the coming wave and asked them to take necessary action to avoid public gatherings in order to check the Covid-19 spread. On Saturday India has achieved a 1 crore milestone of successful covid -19 vaccination on August 27 but still, the risk of infection is still present so it better is to keep the mask on and hand sanitized.
